Mini Accordion Album

Hello, crafty friends! Today, I am sharing a super cute project made using the bottom part of a 12x12 scrapbook paper. The sheet is called Happy Place Paper which is from the Crate Paper Sunny Days collection by Maggie Holmes. I originally was going to cut the tags individually and make a tag flip, but my brain wanted to make something else. LOL! I scored between the tags and created accordion folds. I knew that I wanted to use the yellow tag with the hotel as my cover since this will be a mini album for a staycation that my family and I took last summer.  We stayed at the Monarch Beach Resort in Dana Point, California. For this album, I printed out digital elements from AC Digitals  and fussy cut them. I added a lot of butterflies, of course. Please note that some of the photos I added to this album are stock photos from the hotel's website.  I just love how chunky it turned out and the colors make me so happy. To keep the album closed, I wrapped pin...

Embellished Mini Writing Tablets

Hi, crafty friends! It's Week 2 of homeschooling due to the Coronavirus and we just received notice that school will be closed until May 1st. I must say, it is not easy being the temporary teacher to my little third grader. I appreciate teachers even more and those who home school their children. How do you guys do it? I am slowly losing my mind!!! Last week, when my daughter asked for scratch paper for her math work, I remembered that I had some paper pads from Dollar Tree. I told her it was recess time, but really I wanted an excuse to craft.   In a few minutes, I had this beautiful, personalized,  jazzed up paper pad for her. It was such a nice break and I got to be creative and made something practical. I used Maggie Holmes papers from the Sunny Days collection and zig-zag stitched around the cover with gold thread. Here is the inside, lined with patterned paper.  The paper pads are from the dollar store and they measure 3 1/2 x 5 inches. Each pack co...

Frank Garcia Mini Album Parcel Club - Pretty Mosaic

Another day, another project share! Today, I am sharing an album using the February 2020 parcel from the Frank Garcia's Mini Album Parcel Club. I have added tons of photos of my David Austin roses from my garden. These are photographs that I have taken over the past couple of years. It's so nice to have them printed out and displayed in an album. The Prima Pretty Mosaic line is just the perfect collection for my roses, and as always, kudos to Frank for the beautiful album design and inspo. Stop and enjoy the roses! Here are some photos: Have a blessed week! xoxox

Maggie Holmes Paper Rosettes

Hello, friends! Hope you are all well!!! My quarantine days have been productive - I am keeping busy making cards using the new Pretty Pink Posh items, finishing up paper projects (some that were started a couple of months ago), home-schooling my daughter (pray for me!), cooking meals for my family, and my usual mom duties. Today, I am sharing one of my projects that I finally got to finish - paper rosettes. About three weeks ago, my family and I drove to Las Vegas. I die cut a bunch of paper rosettes ahead of time so that I could fan-fold them in the car, since I had 3 hours on the road. I ended up making about 20 rosettes and today, I finally embellished them. I hope you like!!! My sister gifted me this Maggie Holmes sticker book last Christmas and I finally got to use the gorgeous stickers. I backed them with 110lb cardstock and fussy cut, so that I can use them as ephemera. Thanks to social distancing (LOL), I was able to cut a whole bunch.. almost the whole pad, an...

Flip Album - Crate Paper Hooray

Hello, crafty friends. Today, I am sharing a flip book album using papers and ephemera from the Crate Paper Hooray Collection and the Tolsby frame from Ikea. I have 8 pages in total and I decorated the front and back. First, I cut 8 white 110lb cardstock to 3.25 x 5.25 inches. I then chose 16 papers from the Hooray 6x8 paper pack and cut those a bit smaller than the white cardstock. I then adhered all the papers and used my sewing machine to stitch around each page, using gold thread. With the scrap papers, I used the We R Memory Keepers punch to make hole reinforcers and adhered them to all holes. Next, I got my photos and ephemera ready, typed out my captions, and put the album together. For dimension, I used craft foam to raise the photos and some of the ephemera. I also added texture by using Nuvo drops and adding strips of fringe paper. I hope you like today's project share! Here are some photos: Back of the front page: This is Willow, the...
