Joyous Blessings - Spellbinders

Hello friends! Can you believe it's already the middle of the year? I used to think July was way too early for Christmas cards, but one time, whoosh! November came out of nowhere, and I was rushing to make those cards. Lesson learned – now I start early, right after my favorite companies release their holiday stuff. Lucky me, this year Spellbinders asked me to whip up some cards for their Holiday catalog. Today, I'm sharing this super cool square-shaped card I made with the new Christmas Bird Poinsettia Etched Dies . These dies are a blast and perfect for making Christmas cards. There are 13 thin metal cutting dies in the set, and they create this adorable bird sitting on top of a Poinsettia and candy cane bouquet. Use them together or separately to add some holiday charm! I'm totally hooked on using Spellbinders cardstock, and here's everything I used: Blues: Cosmic Sky , Glacier , Raindrop Gold: Brushed Gold Greens: Fern , Peridot , Rainforest Pink: Pink Sand Reds...

Birthday Cards - Spellbinders

Hey there fellow crafters! I'm so excited to share with you two handmade cards that I recently made using the new Spellbinders Stitched Numbers Etched Dies . These dies are seriously amazing and allowed me to create unique and personalized designs that I just can't wait to show you. For my first card, I started with a 4.25 inch x 5.5 inch panel in Teal Topaz and added a decorated edge frame using one of the dies from the Fluted Classics Rectangles Etched Dies . I then cut the numbers "1" and "3" from the Stitched Numbers Etched Dies in white cardstock and added stitching details in ombre colors using different strands of DMC Floss . I combined Dark Aquamarine, Dark Seagreen, and Light Seagreen to create a beautiful ombre effect. To complete the look, I cut the outline of the numbers in Pink Sand cardstock and used Helmar glue to adhere the numbers onto their outlines. Next, I glued the numbers onto the teal card panel. I then hot foiled the sentiment an...

Merry Christmas - Spellbinders

Hello crafty friends! Here is a very simple yet elegant Christmas card with a sweet pink door. How I wish I can have a pink front door in real life!  The white panel is from Reverse Confetti (shop is now closed). I hot foiled the sentiment with gold foil , using the Spellbinders Glimmer machine.  I used my favorite pink cardstock and die cut the door from the Spellbinders Open House Door Base Etched Dies . The window panes, letter slot, and door knob are cut from Brushed Gold Cardstock . I then cut the wreath from the Open House Spring Etched Dies in light pink cardstock (from Michaels). The red berries and bow are from the Open House Topiary Etched Dies .  That's all for this CAS Christmas card. This one is easy to mass produce and perfect to mail to family and friends. I hope you'll give it a try!

Tinsel Time Collection - Spellbinders

Hello, crafty friends!  I have made 3 Christmas cards using products from the new Tinsel Time Collection .  My first card features the Holiday Express cutting dies. I cut the dies in a variety of colored cardstock from Spellbinders. I had so much fun putting this train together. The sentiment is gold heat embossed on a strip of white cardstock. It is from the Dancin’ Holiday Sentiments . For the card panel, I cut down a patterned paper from the Joyful Christmas Paper Pad to 3” x 6”. I then layered it with the Wild Berry cardstock before adhering it to a 3.25” x 6.25” card base.  The second card features the Dancin’ St. Nick cutting dies. I used all  colored cardstocks from Spellbinders, except for the gold cardstock  which is from the big box craft store. I love that Santa’s legs swing back  and forth. This is optional, but it is more fun to have swinging legs and it  is also easy to achieve. Simply cut down a sma...

Hello - Spellbinders Dies

Hello crafty friends! Today, I am sharing this square-shaped card that is made using all dies. I love a no-coloring type of day and I had so much fun putting this adorable front door scene together. Let's get started! I went through my scrap drawer and picked out some patterned papers for my card. I used mostly papers from a 6x6 Carta Bella Paper pad. This is an older set and is no longer available, but I found some of the 12x12 sheets here .  For my card, I cut a panel in blue gingham patterned paper down to 5.5 inches square. I then cut and assembled all the elements that I used for the card.  Here is a complete list of products used: Spellbinders Open House Door Base Spellbinders Open House Spring Spellbinders Open House Topiary Thanks for stopping by! I hope that you like my card!
