Birthday Cards - Spellbinders

Hey there fellow crafters! I'm so excited to share with you two handmade cards that I recently made using the new Spellbinders Stitched Numbers Etched Dies. These dies are seriously amazing and allowed me to create unique and personalized designs that I just can't wait to show you.

For my first card, I started with a 4.25 inch x 5.5 inch panel in Teal Topaz and added a decorated edge frame using one of the dies from the Fluted Classics Rectangles Etched Dies. I then cut the numbers "1" and "3" from the Stitched Numbers Etched Dies in white cardstock and added stitching details in ombre colors using different strands of DMC Floss. I combined Dark Aquamarine, Dark Seagreen, and Light Seagreen to create a beautiful ombre effect. To complete the look, I cut the outline of the numbers in Pink Sand cardstock and used Helmar glue to adhere the numbers onto their outlines. Next, I glued the numbers onto the teal card panel. I then hot foiled the sentiment and foam mounted it on the center of the card.

Finally, I added a Stitched Floral Flip Frame Etched Dies in Rainforest cardstock and the flowers in white cardstock, which I also stitched with DMC in Pale Yellow, Light Orange Spice, and Very Light Dusty Rose. I glued the card panel onto an A2-sized white card base, and voila - a gorgeous and personalized card!

The second card is for my niece who is turning 15 this year. I used the Beveled Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder to add some texture to the 4.25 inch x 5.5 inch Alabaster cardstock panel. I then cut and matted two of the Essential Floral Reflection Etched Dies in pink and white cardstock and added flowers with the Floral Reflection Etched Dies. I used all cardstocks from Spellbinders and cut the numbers "1" and "5" from the Stitched Numbers Etched Dies in pink cardstock. I stitched these numbers with DMC Dark Cranberry 301 and used Graphite cardstock for the outline of the numbers to create a beautiful contrast. I hot foiled the sentiment and glued it under the numbers. Lastly, I glued the card panel onto a card base.

I hope you enjoyed these handmade card designs and are as excited about the new Spellbinders Stitched Numbers Etched Dies as I am! The versatility of these dies is truly amazing and can help you create unique and personalized cards for any occasion. Whether you're a seasoned crafter or just starting out, I highly recommend giving these dies a try. So why not let your creativity run wild and see what beautiful designs you can come up with using the Stitched Numbers Etched Dies? Happy crafting!

October Release 2023 Blog Hop - Pretty Pink Posh

Hello and welcome to the Pretty Pink Posh October 2023 Release Blog Hop! For my card, I started out with a light blue cardstock that measures 4.5 inches square. I stenciled through the Winter Words with Finnabair Snowflake Paste for a fun background. I then made a mug shaker using the Winter Mug Dies and the cutout to make a window for the shaker is from the Birthday Mug Additions Dies. The shaker bits are from the Christmas Cookie Shaker Beads . I used various colors of cardstock from Spellbinders for my card. I added a cute little bird from the Holiday Birds Dies and a couple gifts using the rectangle pieces from the Build A Stocking Dies. The rest of the die cuts are from the new Holiday Mug Additions Dies.  Then I added some pink dots on the greenery with Liquid Pearls in Ballerina. Lastly, I glued the card panel onto a 4.5-inch square card base. Make sure to check out the rest of the Hop for more inspiration using the new products from Pretty Pink Posh! There are 4 $30 g

Heffy Doodle and Gerda Steiner Designs Collaboration

Welcome to the Heffy Doodle and Gerda Steiner Designs Collaboration Blog Hop! Design Team members from both companies are sharing inspiration using products from both companies! For this fun collaboration, I made a slimline birthday card. To begin, I stamped, colored, and cut images from Gerda Steiner Designs - On the Table , On the Bookshelf and the new Heffy Doodle Popping By stamp set. I then cut the largest rectangle from the Heffy Doodle Stitched Slimline Trio Dies in white cardstock. For my table, I used the Ain't So Plaid Stencil and inked with Mustard Seed and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxides. The top portion is ink blended with Tattered Rose and I splattered some black and rose gold acrylic paint for interest. I then white heat embossed the happy birthday sentiment onto a strip of black cardstock. Next, I adhered the elements down onto the card. Lastly, I adhered my panel onto a slimline card base.
